Lee, D.K., Lee, B.K., Park, I.R. Effects on the critical velocity, anaerobic running capacity, running records and velocity of mixed athletic training of children. Exercise Science. 14(1): 65-76. 2005. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects on the critical velocity(CV), anaerobic running capacity(ARC), running record and velocity of mixed athletic training on the elementary school students. The subjects were consisted of 12 boys(11.2±0.5yrs, 153.4±6.7cm, 50.6±12.0kg) and 11 girls(11.3±0.6yr, 153.6±5.7cm, 48.5±9.0kg). They were participated in the mixed athletic training for 10 weeks, 4~5 times a week. CV, ARC, running record and velocity were measured before and after mixed training. CV and ARC were analyzed upon the linear relationship between 3 running distances(400m, 1,000m, 1,600m)(Wlim) and records(Tlim). CV were significantly increased 8.8% on boy and 7.1% on girl after training(p<.01), but there were no significant differences on training effects between CV of boy and girl. ARC were significantly decreased 7.8% on boy and 9.9% on girl after training(p<.05), but there were no significant difference on training effects between ARC of boys and girls. CV and ARC were changed after mixed training, but the training effects on boys and girls was not difference. The running records of boys were decreased 4.6~7.3%, and the ones of girls were decreased 4.9~7.5% after training. Both on boys and girls, 1,600m records were most decreased. The running velocity of boys were increased 5.1~7.7%, and the ones of girls were increased 4.6~7.2% after training. Both on boys and girls, 1,600m records were most increased. The running records and velocity were significantly changed after training both boys and girls, but there were no significant differences on training effects between boys and girls.
