Roh, S.K., Kim, J.K., Shin, Y.O., Jung, D.C. Effects of radiation of far infrared and anion on cardiopulmonary endurance, anaerobic power and the response of autonomic nervous system. Exercise Science. 17(3): 341-350, 2008. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of radiation of far infrared and anion on the cardiopulmonary endurance, the anaerobic power, and the response of autonomic nervous system. Thirty-three female subjects participated in this study. They were divided into three groups; M aids(necklace, bracelet, anklet) weared and yoga group(M+Y, n=12)), M aids weared group(M, n=11), and control group(C, n=10). Experiment was taken 2 weeks. All subjects underwent graded exercise test on a treadmill for cardiopulmonary endurance, Wingate test for anaerobic power, and stress test for the response of autonomic nervous system at before and after treatment. Although there was no significant difference in VO2max after treatment, but total exercise time increased significantly in M+Y group(10.4%) and M group(7.2%) after treatment. Maximal anaerobic power increased significantly in M group(21.1%) after treatment. Mean anaerobic power increased significantly in M+Y group(13.3%) and M group(21.4%) after treatment. Neck activity from stress test increased significantly in M+Y group(33%) after treatment. Neck reactivity from stress test increased significantly in M+Y group(62.0%) and abdominal reactivity increased significantly in M group(27.2%) after treatment. These results suggested that wearing M aids-radiated of far infrared and anion induce the improvement of the cardiopulmonary endurance, anaerobic power, and the response of autonomic nervous system during daily life and exercise.
