This paper examines the variations in the pattern of Twitter use between South Koreans and Russians in terms of their Twitter contents and relations. We measured nine aspects of Twitter content such as information-sharing, random-thoughts, and me-now. Relational data included followers, following, lists, and favorite counts. 186 Korean and 106 Russian Twitter users were included. From these users, we collected 1,860 Korean and 1,130 Russian messages. For both user groups, information sharing and random thoughts were major types of tweet messages. However, Russians tended to share more content, while Koreans preferred random thoughts. Koreans tended to have more followers and followings than Russians did on average. The results are discussed against the social-cultural and technical background of Korea and Russia.
