Bayesian multiple comparisons for binomial and normal populations were studied by Gopalan and Berry(1998) with nonparametric Dirichlet process priors. Here we consider the specific problem of Bayesian multiple comparisons for the proportions in negative binomial populations using Bayes factor. In many cases, noninformative priors are required for Bayesian approach because of limited information and time constrains. So, we suggest a Bayesian procedure for multiple comparisons in negative binomial populations based on fractional Bayes factor when noninformative priors are applied for the parameter. And an illustrative example with simulated data is presented to demonstrate the whole procedure.
