In this paper, we study totally umbilical slant lightlike submanifolds of indef-inite Kaehler manifolds. We prove that there do not exist totally umbilical proper slantlightlike submanifolds in inde nite Kaehler manifolds other than totally geodesic properslant lightlike submanifolds. We also prove that there do not exist totally umbilical properslant lightlike submanifolds of inde nite Kaehler space forms. Finally, we give a charac-terization theorem on minimal slant lightlike submanifolds.
