Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the oral health knowledge and attitudetoward the patients and to provide the right direction for oral health improvement in the dentalhygienists.
Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by the 297 adult patients who weretaught by the oral health education by the dental hygienists in Seoul and Gyeonggi provincefrom May-July 2013.
Results : Among the patients, 34.7 percent replied that they had oral health education bythe dental hygienists. The intention to revisit to dental clinic accounted for 60.6%. Those havingthe oral health education by the dental hygienists accounted for 67.7%.
Conclusions : It is very important for the dental hygienists to educate the patients on theoral health knowledge that can influence the dental clinic revisit intention.
