The previous studies about wireless internet have largely focused on technology issues and no previous studies have investigated the adoption of wireless internet services. This study builds on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in order to understand factors influencing acceptance of wireless internet services in Korea. Based on literature review on the previous TAM based studies, this study investigates the effects of personal and socioeconomic variables on the two outcome variables--use intention and actual use of the wireless internet service by employing as mediating variables usefulness, social pressure and ease of use. The study found that age, use frequency of cell phone, occupation, and awareness of wireless internet services significantly affect the intention and actual use of the services. And it was found that a variable combining social pressure and usefulness perceived of the wireless internet service influenced the usage intention and actual use of the services.
