Thos paper proposes a routing produre for a multicommodify traffic problem with transmission delay and load balancing consider where routing is subject to commodity-dependent hop restrictions. The problem is formulated as an MIP(Mixed Integer Programming) for minimizing the weighted sum of transmission delay and maximum link utilization (for load balancing), subject to link capacities and requirements (including bandwidth requirements and hop restrictions between origin-destination pairs). The problem is proved NP-hard so that a heuristic routing algorithm is derived in a Lagrangean relaxation approach by use of some solution lower bound properties characterized in the problem analysis. Theassociated experimental tests show that the algorithm is effective and solves each numerical problem within a reasonable time.
