Recently advance of IT and expansion of internet shows numerous possibilities in the international market. e-trade is expected to dominate the global trade in the 21 century and thus is being introduced as a major policy assignment for each developing country. It is important in Korea, which has a high dependency rate on trade. Faced with structural problems with a high cost trade process, trade efficiency through the channel of e-trade is an alternative to strengthen international competitiveness of Korean medium and small export and import firms. Therefore, Korea needs to quickly adjust to this new method of e-Trade and provide a number of policy suggestions. However usage of e-trade system require cooperation, commitment, and the trust of all participating members in international trade process. The purpose of this paper is to investigate factors of interruption and then provide solutions for activation of e-Trade in Korea.
