Zhang Xian was a famous Ci poetry writer; without leaving many works in the earlier stage of Northern Song Dynasty, he not only pushed the development of the poetry of the Song Dynasty, but also exerted a tremendous influence on his hometown region’s cultural history. This thesis analyses the characteristics and mood of Zhang Xian’s Ci poetry and presents textual research on the meeting of "Six Men of Letters". Zhangxian’s Ci poetry consists of Ci love poetry, which occupies about two thirds of his work. In t otal, Ci friendly exchange poetry, Ci festival poetry and Ci descriptive poetry. This article discusses the psychological characteristics of zhangxian’s Ci friendly exchange poetry from " The Four Seasons", including theme, emotion memory, and his personality characteristics. The subject consciousness of Zhang Xian’s lyrics is subject matter from daily life, nature scenes and the transition on minds of creation. The utopia indicates zhang xian’s impression of imperfection and feeling lost in life, which are related to his sentimental and vulnerable personality.
