This study discusses various types of nonverbal communication and examines key theoretical claims of leading experts.. The author states that hundreds of varieties of non-verbal information exist. Such non-verbal information interact with each other in the process of communication and form a social and psychological portrait of the speaker. The study analyzes the importance of theoretical and practical knowledge in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language to Korean university students. This study also investigates the concept of "emotional hearing", a term coined by Professor V.P. Morozov. According to Morozov, voice (tone, intonation, etc.) are particularly important when dealing with students especially in primary stage. The study also describes the results of an experiment in phonetics. The experiment showed that 76% of Korean students can distinguish between normative and non-normative Russian pronunciation.. This study found that Korean students achieve very good results in a short period of intensive training of the phonetics of the Russian language in Korea.
