The film industry of Chosun had considerable changes. First of all, movie theaters competitively lowered the ticket prices, and for this price cutting race many of them went out of business. There was also a lot of competition to show new movies. As a result, the industry began to revolve around distribution than screening. And corporations with big capital entered into the movie industry. Meanwhile, representative of Korean movie theaters, Dansungsa began to support small movie productions of Korean companies to secure the new movies for attracting Korean audiences who preferred Korean movies. However, many Korean movies influenced by socialism got mutilated by the censors.
