The primary purpose was to analyse the immediate (post-test1) and one-day follow up (post-test2)effectiveness of massage treatment session. A secondary purpose was to analyse factors predicting fatigue, satisfaction, and health related quality of life (QoL). Experiments were conducted three hundred and sixty one participants from the age 20 to under 60 women living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Questionnaires were administered at post-test1 and post-test2, followed by outcomes assessment. As a result of this study is as followings. Respondents reported an average health status level of (3.3±0.9) on a 5-point scale, including stress (2.7±1.0) and fatigue (2.6±1.0). Statistically increases in mean scores (indicating improvement) for satisfaction were observed after treatment: physical satisfaction (3.68±0.60 vs 3.83±0.63, p<.001), mental satisfaction (3.68±0.59 vs 3.78±0.61, p<.001). But fatigue scores were statistically significantly different:physical fatigue (3.47±1.10 vs 2.16±0.71, p<.001), mental fatigue (2.67±0.10 vs 1.90±0.61, p<.001). Immediately after treatment session, fatigue scores were increased and then the one-day after followed significantly decreased. These findings suggest that massage therapy is an effective care service in reducing perceived stress and fatigue and, improving a feeling of wellness, promoting a QoL in women, even though some transient fatigue may caused by after treatment session. There is a need for further research to evaluate the effects of on fatigue-related factors with physiological massage treatment. These results suggest that this study may provide a base line data to analyze customers needs and improve quality of service.
