In this paper I discuss some examples of the right node raising (RNR) construction in English which argue against the three previous approaches to it on the basis of the conception of (i) LF/PF deletion; (ii) multi-dominance; (iii) ATB movement. As an alternative to the three previous approaches I propose that the RNR construction in Korean (and possibly, other languages) have two right-edge strings of the two conjunct clauses undergoing edge coordination. Though this proposed analysis provides an explanation of the cases newly noted in this paper, I still show that it confronts a problem that needs further investigation.
