This paper explored the characteristics in acceptance of literature of Qu Yuan and aspects of changes through literature of Yongjae Lee Haeng(1478~1534) who represents his time based on the decision that Purge of Literati was a turning point to accept Qu Yuan. Lee Haeng was involved in Gapja(甲子) Purge and lived in Chungju(忠州), Haman(咸安), and Geojaedo in exile for three years. He published three collections of his poems written in exile. The collections contain about 30 works which accept Qu Yuan. The only prose titled <離騷後拔> advocates Qu Yuan, representing the view of the person who suffered the purge. Also, in his poetry, he would sympathize with Qu Yuan by inviting his own gloom. In the entire work, he would materialize the internal world or atmosphere of Qu Yuan and his works. In terms of qualitative performance, the latter excels. On the other hand, his works consistently show a certain attitude to distance from Qu Yuan. His poetry may declare the ‘difference’ from Qu Yuan and use a parody to create the opposite meaning. The freshness of the message or personality in literature literary are more prominent in the works than those of identification. The identification and distance are selective, rather than contradictory, in orientation. He was in sufficient sympathy with loyalty, respect for the king, and good politics. However, Lee Haeng did not agree to the situation where Qu Yuan fought the world intensively and chose to kill himself to disappear. At least, he did not choose the latter way. As for the former, there appears complete identification of Lee Haeng with Qu Yuan. In the latter, there is complete differentiation from Qu Yuan. The most important characteristic is that the two attitudes coexist in tension. While the works of art by Lee Haeng, collected through acceptance of Qu Yuan work as a pioneer to raise questions of the day, there are personal characteristics and attitudes in life, creating unique literature. Especially, if you focus on the ‘difference’ from Qu Yuan, you will understand the conditions where he becomes a new meritorious subject upon return with King Jungjong(中宗). The works by Lee Haeng through acceptance of Qu Yuan are unique among the literati during the purge period and ensure a meaningful position in the history of literature by those in political exile.
