This thesis is from experimental results of computer‐based Chinese lecture for Korean students. The lecture was taught by typing Chinese words which are specified by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The lecture was 15 weeks and Korean students were improved by 35% in typing speed after 7 weeks. This is related to development of input method of Chinese. In China, almost 90% of people are using input methods based on Chinese pronunciation while others on character, which is the result from development of Chinese input method for last 20 years. Google Pinyin Input Method and Wubizixing, especially, had great effects on Chinese input process. This advancement also affected Korean students in learning Chinese language. They became familiar with Chinese pronunciations and characters by taking this computer‐based Chinese language class. They have to require easy usage of Chinese language on not only MS Word but also messengers and MS Powerpoint for presentation.Based on the computer‐based class setting, this research analyzed effectiveness of the lecture by making a graph of Chinese character typing quantity in the past decade. For conclusion, Chinese language education with utilizing Chinese input methods such as Google Pinyin input Method has great effect on learning Chinese language to Korean students.
