The purpose of knowing the history is to recognize the present correctly through understanding of the past and to design the future in the right way. Therefore, we could understand today's connection of vocation and predict jobs which can be developed indigenously in our country by analyzing Koreas history of vocation development. Koreas recorded history had begun in the era of the Three Kingdoms. In Goryeo Period, after the era of the Three Kingdoms, labor market characteristics and vocational ethics of each vocations had been introduced in the series of Goryeo history biographies. In Goryeo Period, vocations had been diversified, employment had been given strictness and the systems of retirement and welfare had been clear. Besides, it was the era that ancestors who had complete vocational awareness and vocational ethics had lived. By analyzing Goryeo Periods labor market characteristics and vocational ethics, we would review the present and give our young people vocations which can be developed in Korea and the right vocational ethics. Consequently, this thesis would make significant contribution to the vocational counseling of Korea.
