Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the factors and the subjectivity on aging among the youth and elderly and also to examine the characteristics and relationships between these two groups on attitudes to aging. Method : Thirty two youths and thirty five elderlies classified 30 selected Q statements in to 9 points standard. They classified twice for the subjectivity on aging of the other group's. The collected data was analyzed by using a QUANL pc program. Result : The youth have three(role-modeling prefer, transcendental perspectives, worring) types of response and the elderly have two(transcendental perspectives, reality recognition) types. The youth saw elderly as having three(pessimistic perspectives, active acceptance, aging rejector) types of response and to the elderly saw the youth as having four(positive acceptance, dependents, aging denial, independents) types. The relationship between the above-mentioned types will be examined in a coorientation model, the subjectivity of the youth and elderly on aging indicates a relatively high understanding. But, the subjectivity of each groups on aging and the subjectivity of each groups saw the other groups as having indicate low congruencies both in the youth and elderly. Conclusion : There is not at issue generational gaps of perception, but the preconception of being different between each other. The results of this study provide understanding about aging between generations and social consensus for aging.
