Pollen analysis was performed targeting the peat layer, which was formed at about 14,000yrB.P. in Jemincheon Stream, in order to clarify the vegetation and climate environment of the Late Quaternary in Jemincheon Stream Watershed in Gongju City, Korea. The sample collection point is included in the current deciduous broadleaf forest zone (south cool temperate zone). The results are as follows. The study area was covered with mixed conifer and deciduous broad-leaved forest which Picea jezoensis, Pinus Koraiensis and Alnus japonica were dominant unlike now when peat layer was formed. The vegetation had a relatively wide distribution area of the forest compared to grassland at the time, and the climate was relatively colder and drier than now.
