A new spray chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum) cultivar Peak was bred by crossing between GrandPink and Relance. Its growth and flower characteristics were investigated from 2002 to 2004 by shading culture in summer andretarding culture in spring. The natural flowering time of Peak was late October, but year-round production was possible byshading and lighting. Flower diameter was around 6.9 cm. The average number of the petal was 28, and the number of flowers perstem was 14 during summer. The of petal color was orange with presence of light green at flower center. It took about 47 days forchrysanthemum Peak to bloom from short-day start in spring. Peak was resistant to white rust and showed the vase life of 17days in autumn.
