The low bodyweight of female dancers, although a current aesthetic requirement, can cause several well recognised medical problems. In particular, reproductive dysfunction(eg.amenorrhoea) is now well recognised and is seen just as commonly in dancers. Although the association between reproductive dysfunction and exercise is well known, the physiology of dance-related female reproductive dysfunction is not completely clarified. This study aims to review a lot of literature to clarify the causes and mechanisms by which dance influences the reproductive dysfunction. Reproductive dysfunction consists in a wide range of clinical or biochemical abnormalities which include delayed puberty, LPD, oligo-amenorrhea or anovulation. Menstrual dysfunction is common in active women, especially competitive dancers/athletes who participate in lean-build sports. Although the mechanism for this menstrual dysfunction has not yet been identified, it is now clear that negative energy balance, due to high energy expenditure and inadequate energy intake, is a major contributing factor. Negative energy balance is due to purposeful energy restriction to either maintain or achieve a low bodyweight. Both the restrictive energy intake and the exercise-induced menstrual dysfunction that result can significanly affect health and dance/sport performance. In addition, Neuroendocrine adaptive responses to psychological stress include activation of the HPA axis and sometimes suppression of the HPG axis. In women who experience chronic stress, these responses are responsible for disturbances in the menstrual cycle. This stress-induced suppression of the HPG axis leading to chronic anovulation and amenorrhea is called functional hypothalamic dysfunction. This review briefly discusses the various factors that may affect menstrual dysfunction of dancers and two of the proposed mechanisms: the body composition(energy balance) and stress hypotheses. In consequence, later on dance with reproductive dysfunction will be make professional and scientific study. It will be use education of dancers for suitable health care. learning phases proceed, students attain more abilities to appreciate dance works.
