This study is to investigate the effect of an autistic student's stereotype behaviors by participation in a dance therapy program. This study is to show how the autistic student's stereotypical behaviors change by following the 4 steps of a dance therapy program during 4 weeks. This study is conducted by using the A-B-A' technique of a single subject research method. Changes of the sample's stereotypical behaviors were measured in the pre-test, main-test, and post-test sessions. The results of this study indicates that the subject's stereotypical behaviors were changed by following each steps of the dance therapy program. The subject's stereotypical behaviors were decreased by participation in the dance therapy program. The behavior gradually increased at the end of the sessions. However, behavior slightly increased in the second session. Stereotype behaviors slowly decreased in the third stage of the dance therapy program. However, the decreasing rate tended to be small in the first and second steps of the third stage. Stereotypies were decreased in the fourth step because the behaviors were controlled directly by the teachers. A teacher taught dance skills and checked stereotypies only for the sample, which was a main reason for decreasing stereotypies of the sample.
