Korean Federation of Dancesport has been applied skating system for determining players' ranking. However, the ranks getting from different events are an ordinal scale, so that skating system has a limit to not be able to aggregate to get final ranking of the individual players. The present study was an attempt to calibrate the ranks from the different events of Dancesport by using the Rasch rating scale model and to compare the rankings derived from the skating system and Rasch model. The data consisted of 6 professional players' ranks getting from 11 judges on each of final-round 5 latin events at the 2016 President's Cup Dancesport Competition. The data were collected from http://www.kfds.or.kr Two faceted Rasch rating scale model was used to calibrate players' ranks and judges' scores by WINSTEPS program. The results showed that the Spearman's correlations between the ranks derived from skating system and from Rasch model were ranging from 0.83 to 0.99. The consistencies of the two methods were dependent upon competition events. Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Pasodobre events had perfect correlations between the ranks derived from two methods. Samba and Jive events, however had relatively high but not perfect correlation between the ranks from two methods. Rasch model demonstrates an appropriate statistical technique for adding players' ranks from different Dancesport events.
