Report Errors
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the transformational leadership of SMEs"s managers has a significant effect on the trust of the leader and organizational commitment of the organizational members. We analyzed 227 data from manufacturing workers among SMEs in Sejong and Daejeon.
The results showed that the transformational leadership of SMEs"s managers had a positive effect on the trust on leaders and organizational commitment and that trust on leaders had a mediating effect on the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment.
The role of leaders in SMEs, which are relatively limited in size and resources compared to large corporations, can be a very important factor for SMEs to improve their corporate performance. Based on the results of this study, the theoretical and practical implications were derived, and the limitations of the study and future research directions were discussed.
