The content of the border region we experience today is only the three codes of 'ecology', 'security' and 'tourism' and the ambiguous concept of 'peace'. However, these are situations that explain everything in the border area. Also, as the example of the Kaesong Industrial Complex for joint development by the two Koreas, it has resulted in the absurd situation of shutting down the industrial complex due to political and military conflicts. In the case of cooperation projects between South and North Korea, a new approach is needed. This implies that research is needed to create clusters centering on healing agriculture as a new core tourism content within the border region of the South. The purpose of this study is to introduce healing agriculture as a key tourist content in the border region. In other words, this study suggests the utilization of healing agriculture in expanding tourism contents which is not supported by the border region. For this purpose, we will review the existing literature using periodicals, monographs, and newspaper articles. The purpose of this study is to derive a plan to transform healing agriculture into a key tourism content within the border region of the South, rather than the North, with the new development logic of DMZ-border region. This will contribute to re-symbolizing the existing border region from the ecology- security-economy to the life-peace-healing paradigm.
