This paper aims to show the evidences of spatial contexts in the growth of information industries at the state level in the United States. Since the information industry was estabished by the U.S. for the first time in 1997, it has been widely being acknowledged and defined as a dynamic driver sustaining the economic growth of the U.S. In addition, the information industry is placed much importance on its rapidly increased contribution to the increase of GDP in many countries. In this paper, the concept of spatial contextual growth of the U.S. information industries basically relates to the existence of spatial concentration in terms of the economy of scales. This paper analyses the statistical data about the growth of information industries in the U.S. from 1997 to 2018 published by the U.S. Bureau of Economuc Anaylsis, and draws out the spatial patterns of the U.S. information industries. The analysis shows that the U.S. information industris have been growing on the basis of strong urbanization economies as well as localization economies.
