Facing the 4th industrial revolution era represented by hyper-connection, this study aims to expand the area of smart home services from a comprehensive perspective of housing services based on the linkage of surrounding environments and urban data. For this study, the types of smart home services including welfare, self-reliance and high tech were extracted. Moreover, based on case analysis, the details of individual types of services were materialized and plans for creation of service environments in housing complex were suggested. It is anticipated that this study can serve as fundamental data for smart home service environment planning to deal with various base technologies and users’ needs in future.
