We identified the sea/land breeze by analyzing wind time series observed at the three surface stations located respectively in the western, eastern and southern coastal areas of the Korean peninsula during the summer months (June, July and August) of 2019. Using a band-pass filter, we isolated sea/land breeze signals from multi-scale wind time series. The extracted sea/land breeze signals clearly show the characteristics of sea/land breeze circulation at the three coastal surface stations. In particular by employing the ensemble approach, sea/land breeze signals become more obvious. Through this study, we validated the usefulness of the band-pass filter to identify a particular signal on a chosen particular scale range. Along with the ensemble approach, the identification of a signal in a particular scale range using the band-pass filter could be more effective.
