This study reflected on the research so far on the value of the Army and sought the direction it should take to create an Army that works on the basis of value.
Prior research related to values in the Army was critically reviewed first, which had been discussed in earnest since the 1990s. As a result, we found that the Army was not well advanced in leading structural and systemic changes in the Army, because it only advocates ideological values in relation to the value issue. In particular, this paper saw that it is important to examine what beliefs are forming in us and what cultural elements are forming them. And then, based on the results of recent researches, this paper pointed out the belief that soldiers(subordinates) existing in the army culture were controlled, and suggested future tasks for further investigation.
