과학기술도서는 이 분야 학문발전 뿐 아니라 국민을 과학문맹으로부터 일깨우는데 대단히 중요한 몫을 차지하고 있다. 하지만 우리나라에서는 과학기술도서 출판이 부진하다. 우리나라 과학기술도서 출판 현황과 문제점, 과학저술인의 역할, 독자의 독서경향, 해외 과학기술도서 출판현황, 과학기술도서 출판 활성화방안 등을 점검해 보았다.
