Soft tissue tumors of the limbs are relatively infrequent and the alignant variants must be resected radically. Arteriography were performed in all cases (12cases) CT in 5 and US in 4 cases. Those are confirmed histologically except 1 clinically; thdrd were 4 cavemous hemangiomas 1 venous hemangioma 3 angiomatoses 1 lipoma 1 alveolar soft part sarcoma 1 myxiod liposarcoma and 1 malignant schwannoma. The results were as follows : 1. The all soft tissue tumors were 6 males and 6 females and the age ranged 3 to 61 years old with 10 cases (83.3%) under 30 years old. The lower limb is more frequently involved than the upper as 10 cases to 2 2. In the 9 benign soft tissue tumors male to female was 1:2 and the age ranged 3 to 20 years old. Six were lower limb and 3 upper limb. 3. Three cases of the malignant soft tissue tumors were men and two cases of those were occurring in the above 50-year-old All of the 3 malignant tumors are involved in the lower limb. 4. The vascular displacement was dependent on the mass size. 5. Arterial and capillary neovascularity and tumor stain were well visualized in all of the malignant soft tissue tumors in arteriogram. But those findings were also noted in 2 case of cavernous hemangioma. 6. Satellite extension was noted in benign soft tissue tumor such as 1 cavernous hemangioma and 2 angiomatoses. 7. phlebolith were found in venous hemangioma and 1 angiomatosis 8. the demonstration of the displacement of adjacent major arteries and tumor vascularity are useful to the surgeon preparing for radical excision or biopsy.
