2016년 4월에 한국 구례지역에서 재배하는 쑥부쟁이 줄기에 균핵병이 발생하였다. 그 병징은 주로 줄기에 발생하여 물러 썩어서 심하면 식물체가 마른다. 흰색 균사가 감염된 식물체 줄기와 땅 표면에 퍼져있으며, 병든 줄기 내와 병 발생 부위에 작은 흑색 균핵을 형성하였다. 균핵병은 쑥부쟁이 재배 포장에서 20~80% 높게 발생하였다. 분리균의 형태적 특성 및 유전자 분석에 의하여 이 균은 Sclerotinia minor로 동정하였다. 한국에서 쑥부쟁이에서 분리한 Sclerotinia minor에 의한 균핵병 발생을 처음으로 보고한다.
