Alternating HRV is a new concept of HRV that is simple in configuration and easy to install compared to the usual HRV that is commonly used in the market. On the other hand, this device is still under development, so further research is needed to analyze its performance to be more optimal. The purpose of this study is to validate simple mathematical modeling in MATLAB with a simulation on CFD for this AC-HRV performance. With the validation of mathematical modeling, it will be easier for us to analyze the performance of this AC-HRV and save time. In this study, we also analyzed the thermal efficiency as the main standard for validation. By using mathematical modeling we get a little more efficiency than CFD simulation result so our hope is that this device, in reality, has a higher efficiency in accordance with CFD.
