The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of social support on the process of physical environment influence on physical activity of adults. For this study, 514 adults aged 20 years or older who live in S city were selected. The measurement tools were social support questionnaire, physical environment questionnaire, and physical activity questionnaire, To examine the general characteristics of the subjects, a technical statistical method was conducted, and correlation analysis was conducted to confirm the relationship between social support, physical environment and physical activity variables. Finally, to verify the relationship between social support, physical environment and physical activity, the mediating effect was verified by three-step regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the physical environment directly affects the physical activities of adults, and the mediating effect of social support was confirmed in the process of physical environment affecting the physical activities., This study is limited to verify the mediating effect of physical activity through interaction between socioecological variables, and it can be an important basic data for preparing health promotion plan through physical activity of adults.
