NDC is a complex ceramic consisting of five natural minerals known to emit far-infrared rays, which are barley stone, pozzolan, biotite, carbon, and volcanic rock. In the case of diabetic patients, they are deficient in insulin secretion and resist insulin action. It increases a blood sugar level, and it causes a lot of diabetic complications. This study aimed to increase insulin secretion and to reduce blood sugar through NDC on type II diabetes and diabetic foot using the RIN-m5F cell and db/db mouse. Insulin receptor substrate 1 and 2(IRS1 and IRS2) are insulin signaling mediators and act as major factors for insulin signaling and regulating functions such as cell growth, survival, and metabolism. We measured the expression level of IRS1 and IRS2 on RIN-m5F cell (CON) and NDC with RIN-m5F cell (NDC-CON) by using RT-PCR and compared to Insulin secretion by using ELISA.
