This study analyzes the impact of the Korean Wave support policies on employment using the Contingent Valuation Method. We find that not only in the content industry, but also in the food, beverage and fashion manufacturing industries, the positive employment effect of the Korean Wave support policy is significant. It can be interpreted that industrial development or employment in the consumer goods industry is carried out independently of the Korean Wave, so that there is greater room for further employment or the development of the industry caused by the Korean Wave. In addition, our anlayses suggest that the positive effect of the Korean Wave in the comics, animation, character, and game industries may not continue when there is no government support policy. Because the positive effect of the Korean Wave on the industries has been relatively recent, the Korean Wave support policy is important for the industries to establish the economic effect of the Korean Wave.
