Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is an emerging therapeutic modality that utilizes ultrasound (US) to focus exogenous energy on the deeply inherent tumor site. Besides, SDT has been proved to eradicate tumor directly with reactive oxygen species (ROS) triggered by US. Despite these promising effects, in vivo applications have been limited due to the lack of sonosensitizers.
