Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aggressive blood cancer characterized by abnormal proliferation of immature myeloblast. Over the past few years, medical experts established clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of AML. The current diagnostic workup of AML is mainly performed through peripheral blood and bone marrow examination, including cytochemistry, immunophenotypic, and cytogenetic analyses. However, the labeling process is mandatory for most procedures, which makes the diagnosis more time-consuming and laborious.
