Selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) that possess the beneficial effect of androgens via androgen receptors has spread widely throughout all layers of the population, specifically sportsmen, athletes, or people who practice sports for aesthetics. Due to their anabolic properties, they have been on the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list for more than a decade. To avoid the chance of an unattended positive doping test and potential serious health problems, adequate screening methods for the detection of a wide range of SARMs in these supplements is necessary. In this study, we investigated characterization of hydrolyzed YK-11 and their isomer by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
