This study presents an integrated methodology of laser scanning-based guided wave and standing wave systems to improve the damage detection for large plate-like structures. Two laser scanning-based systems generate guided ultrasonic waves and standing waves, respectively, using piezoelectric transducers attached to the structure, and measure the subsequent responses using a mirror tilting device and a laser Doppler vibrometer.
