Introduction
Isolated chronic total occlusion (CTO) of the popliteal artery (PA) is not a frequent finding of evaluations of peripheral artery disease. We aimed to evaluate the clinical characteristics, diagnostic studies, and treatment outcomes of patients with isolated CTO.
Material and Methods
This was a retrospective study of patients who were treated for isolated CTO of the popliteal artery from the prospectively registered database of patients who were treated for peripheral artery disease between 2012 and 2020 at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, South Korea. We analyzed the etiology, comorbidities, and treatment outcomes.
Results
Thirty-eight patients with 41 limbs were enrolled in the study. The mean age of the patients was 57 years. The causes included popliteal artery entrapment syndrome in 14 (36.8%), popliteal artery aneurysm in 8 (21.1%), cystic adventitial disea ... 전체 초록 보기
