Since humans have developed a more invasive procedure for diseases that cannot be controlled by medicine, new surgical techniques and equipment have steadily emerged to prevent unwanted tissue damage in various situations.

In particular, the latest technologies and tools for preoperative examinations have been developed for the minimally invasive surgery in the last 20 years, taking up a large portion of the commercial market, and forming an arcade of advanced medical market.

Among them, medical imaging is responsible for functioning as a doctor's eye for defining the lesions in the human area and for identifying diseases as a basis for clinical judgment and for determining the accuracy and success rate during interventional procedures and surgery.

Navigation surgery system, which displays the location of surgical instruments in real time on CT images taken before surgery, first appeared in the 1990s for brain surgery. However, this only tracks the position of the instrument on the monitor and is used for limited purposes such as drilling holes in the skull.

Subsequently, this technique was applied to spinal surgery, and still the user looked at the monitor once and used to monitor the proper direction of the procedure.
