Probiotics are functional additives for increasing digestibility and immunity of fish. Rockfish is a representative farmed fish, and research on probiotics for rockfish farming is very insufficient. Therefore, a study was conducted to isolate and identify useful bacteria from rockfish intestines, select appropriate prebiotics, and add them to feed in the form of synbiotics.
Among the strains isolated from rockfish, spore formation, salt tolerance, toxin gene presence, cell adhesion rate, cytotoxicity, enzyme activity, haemolysis, etc. were checked to select strains with excellent properties as probiotics. The selected Bacillus sp. was named KRF-7. As a result of confirming the availability of prebiotics, KRF-7 showed the best use of Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) as a carbon source.
The breeding experiment was conducted in a 120 L water tank, and the water temperature was 18.0±0.5℃, pH 8.0±0.2, dissolved oxygen 7.0 mg/L, and salinity 31±1 ppt. The ... 전체 초록 보기
