This study was investigated the spatial distribution and community structure of the macrobenthos that inhabit the rocky intertidal zone of Yeosu. Macrobenthos living in the rocky area of the intertidal zone are very close with surrounding environment condition and their ecological connectivity is important factor to define community structure and biological characteristic. This study area which is on the east coast of the Yeosu is located in the mouth of Gwangyang bay where a continuous reclamation and large vessels passing have been existing. Therefore, this study was investigated the spatial distribution and community structure of the macrobenthos that zonation pattern.
The samples were collected by quadrat sampling for 6 months from 2020 to 2021. Sample the was used quadrat sampling (50 cm×50 cm) by using both quantitative method and qualitative method.
Collected samples were transported to a laboratory for population and weight measurements. A statistical analysis program was used to identify the ecological index and similarity analysis based on the measured data.
In total, we have recorded 38 species, and collected gastropoda was 24, polyplacophora was 5, bivalvia was 5, crustacea was 4. The collected mollusks 12,428 i ... 전체 초록 보기
