This study is intended to present the advantages and various uses of Tattoo stamps produced by 3D printing by replacing the stencil method, the pre-treatment process of the Tattoo procedure. An FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer, which is distributed for freely and is inexpensive to produce, was used. First, a stencil process is required before a Tattoo procedure. If the stencil process is performed manually, the completeness of the work may vary depending on the competence of the operator, and in the case of a complicated pattern, it takes a long time, resulting in various discomforts including as physical discomfort ,during the stencil process, it can be used only once, and there is difficulty if design or size change are required. The use of the Tattoo stamp, an output produced using 3D printing, has the advantage that the completion of the work is not affected by the operator's competence. Due to this, the workability of the Tattoo procedure can be increased. The time required can also be reduced, it can be reused semi-permanently, and the design and size can be changed easily. After the stencil process is over, it is also effective as a countermeasure against re-requests according to customer change of mind. For the production of Tattoo stamps with these advantages, the 3D modeling work and the accessibility of the printer were proposed through experiments utilizing the development of a Tattoo stamp via an FDM 3D printer. Therefore, this study proposed and developed a Tattoo stamp using an FDM 3D printer through experimentation. It is meaningful because it is presenting 3D printing as a potential for new differentiated techniques as a replacement for the stencil process, a pretreatment for Tattooing.
