Today, Korean churches have been criticized for having problems in communicating with the world, while missional churches in Korea are known as churches that have good relations with local communities and communicate well with their neighbors. In this respect, if existing churches learn how missional churches listen to and communicate with their neighbors, they will be able to build better relationships with Korean society beyond their neighbors and local communities. However, in order to meet this claim, it is necessary to prove that the missional church communicates better with the neighbor than the ordinary church and listens to the neighbor better. Therefore, for this purpose, this study conducted a survey as a quantitative research method. The study subjects were limited to members of the Presbyterian Church of Korea in consideration of accessibility and ease of interpretation of the results. And the researcher defined a missional church as a community sent into the world to participate in God’s mission, and limited it to the church that has already been introduced as a missionary church by other scholars. The research conducted in this way has resulted in that missional churches communicate better with neighbors and listen to neighbors better than ordinary churches. In addition, it was found that the improvement of the church's listening and communication was not possible with simple change of methods, but a total change in understanding of the church, mission, and neighbors was necessary.
