We investigated whether polysaccharides isolated from Cudrania tricuspidata fruit (CT-Pol) has protective effects against the cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity in macrophages, and to explore the possibility of application as a supplement for anticancer therapy. CT-Pol had cytoprotective effects in cisplatin-treated RAW264.7 cells, while CT-Pol induced stronger cytotoxicity in combination with cisplatin in lung cancer cells.
