P(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) [P(3HB-co-3HV)] is a biopolymer with biodegradability and biocompatibility. Methylosinus trichosporium OB3b is the type II methanotroph, which naturally produces poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)] from CH4 as its carbon storage materials.
