Rhamnolipids are a class of biosurfactants which are composed of rhamnose and B-hydroxylated fatty acid chain. Rhamnolipids can be widely used in various fields such as food, biomedical engineering, and agriculture, etc. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is still well known as a producer of rhamnolipids, but this microorganism causes health concerns due to its pathogenicity.
