Naringin included in citrus fruits is a flavonoid. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. However, the low solubility and stability in lipophilic systems limit commercial applications. To overcome this problem, esterification can be employed. In this study, naringin oleate was synthesized through esterification using naringin and oleic acid.
